(3) If a ship or boat, a tender or a vessel’s tender engage in tendering operations, or attempts to engage in tendering operations, without a permit to tender for the time being in force in respect of it, it shall be regarded as an unsafe ship for the purposes of Chapter 7.

“vessel’s tender” means a vessel which is launched and recovered from a passenger steamer, including a passenger ship, in respect of which a valid safety management certificate is in force, for the purpose of carrying passengers or crew or both to or from a place in the State and which forms part of such steamer’s equipment and where the steamer’s safety management system encompasses the safe operation of the vessel’s tender.

55.—(1) Féadfaidh suirbhéir long dul ar bord aon loinge nó aon bháid agus í nó é a iniúchadh lena n-áirítear aon bhád freastail nó bád freastail soithigh, chun go bhfeicfidh sé nó sí go bhfuil cead freastail á chomhlíonadh (cibé acu ar an long nó ar an mbád, ar ancaire, istír nó ar an duga) aon tráth chun na críche sin.
55.—(1) A surveyor of ships may board and inspect any ship or boat including any tender or vessel’s tender for the purpose of seeing that a permit to tender is being complied with (either on the ship or boat, at anchor, ashore or at dock) at any time for that purpose.

4.—The Commissioners may from time to time provide, purchase or hire, repair and maintain, a tender or tenders, and may use and work the same for the conveyance within Galway Bay of passengers, goods, passengers' luggage, mails and other matters and things between the quays and docks of Galway Harbour and ocean-going vessels, and may from time to time employ such persons as may be necessary for such purposes.

7.—(1) Féadfaidh na Coimisinéirí, ach toiliú an Aire d'fháil i scríbhinn roimh ré, có-aontuithe no socruithe do dhéanamh, agus do chríochnú, le haon chuideachtain no duine chun aon bháid fhreastail no bád freastail do gheobhaid fén Ordú so d'oibriú ach gan an oibriú san do dhéanamh ach sa mhéid go ndéanfadh, agus chun na gcrícheanna céanna chun a ndéanfadh, na Coimisinéirí féin na báid fhreastail d'oibriú fén Ordú so.
7.—(1) The Commissioners may, with the consent in writing of the Minister first had and obtained, enter into and conclude agreements or arrangements with any company or person for the working of any tender or tenders acquired, by them under this Order but only to the same extent and for the like purposes as the Commissioners might have themselves worked the tenders under this Order.

14.—Féadfaidh na Coimisinéirí cuid d'ioncum an chuain do chur chun báid fhreastail no bád freastail do chur ar fáil, do ghlaca ar cíos, do dheisiú, do chimeád i dtreo, d'úsáid agus d'oibriú do réir forálacha an Orduithe seo, sé sin, aon chuid de bheidh ar fáil chun na gcrícheanna san tar éis na bhforálacha atá sna sean-Achtanna agus sa tsean-Ordú i dtaobh ioncuim do chólíona.
14.—The Commissioners may apply towards the provision, hire, repair, maintenance, use and working of a tender or tenders in accordance with the provisions of this Order any part of the harbour revenue that may be available for such purposes after compliance with the provisions in respect of revenue contained in the existing Acts and Order.
