—(1) Bainfidh Cuid IV. den Municipal Corporations Act, 1882, agus an Municipal Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Act, 1884, mar a leasuítear no mar a cuirtear i mbaint iad fé seach tré Achtanna ina dhiaidh sin, le toghacháin fén Acht so, agus chun crícheanna na bainte sin beidh éifeacht ag an forálacha so leanas, sé sin le rá:—
—(1) Part IV of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1882, and the Municipal Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Act, 1884, as respectively amended or adapted by subsequent Acts, shall apply to elections under this Act and for the purposes of such application the following provisions shall have effect, that is to say:—

(d) tuigfear toghacháin do bhaill cheannaíochta de Chomhairle na Cathrach do bheith ar cheann de sna toghacháin atá luaidhte sa Chéad Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Municipal Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Act, 1884, adubhradh.
( d ) elections of commercial members of the City Council shall be deemed to be one of the elections mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Municipal Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Act, 1884.
