(8) The Minister shall give public notice— (a) of the inclusion of land in the special protection area, or the inclusion of additional land in or the removal of land from the special protection area, and (b) that any person whose interest in or over any land, including any holder of a valid prospecting licence or exploration licence duly issued under any enactment, or any turbary, fishing, sporting or other rights which relates to such land, which may potentially be affected by the inclusion of the land in the special protection area may contact the Department to request further information in respect of the relevant site, and the aforesaid notice shall be published in at least one newspaper with circulation covering the area in which the land referred to in the notice is located and may be— (i) broadcast on a radio channel generally available in the area in which the land referred to in the notice is located, or (ii) published on the internet.

AN ACT TO MAKE PROVISION FOR THE DRAINAGE OF LAND AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF LAND BY DRAINAGE.

—(1) Where the person in receipt of the rent reserved by building lease has, before the 31st day of March, 1931, made a reversionary lease of the land or any part of the land comprised in such building lease, or has on or after the 31st day of March, 1931, made, in pursuance of an enforceable agreement entered into before the 31st day of March, 1931, a reversionary lease of the land or any part of the land comprised in such building lease, no person shall be entitled to obtain under this Part of this Act a reversionary lease of the land or any part of the land comprised in the said reversionary lease so made.

—Whenever land acquired by the Commissioners under this Act is subject, in conjunction with other land, to a land purchase annuity or other annual payment payable to the Irish Land Commission or to the Commissioners, the Irish Land Commission or the Commissioners (as the case may be) may apportion such annuity or annual payment in such manner as they consider proper between the land so acquired and such other land or may charge the whole of such annuity or annual payment on any part of the land subject thereto in exoneration of the residue of such land.

the road authority may, after compliance with the provisions of this Act relating to the disposal of land not required, sell or transfer gratuitously such land (in this subsection referred to as the road authority's land) or any part thereof to any person, who is the owner of any land which adjoins, and is situate on the same side of the road as, the road authority's land, for the purpose of providing that person with alternative means of access to the road or for the purpose of enabling the road authority's land to be used economically or for the purpose of preventing the road authority's land becoming derelict.

(4) Where any settled land, within the meaning of the Settled Land Acts, 1882 to 1890, or any land held on trust for sale is in the possession of a person entitled to a beneficial interest in the land or in the proceeds of sale, not being a person solely and absolutely entitled thereto, no right of action to recover the land shall be deemed for the purposes of this Act to accrue during such possession to any person in whom the land is vested as trustee or to any other person entitled to a beneficial interest in the land or the proceeds of sale.
