Chun substaintí nua a chur le liosta na substaintí, meascán agus próiseas dá dtagraítear in Iarscríbhinn I a ghabhann le Treoir 2004/37/CE i gcomhréir le pointe (a)(ii) d’Airteagal 2 den Treoir sin, ba cheart fianaise eolaíoch stóinsithe de charcanaigineacht na substainte iomchuí a léiriú, ar bhonn foinsí eolaíocha bailí amhail an Coiste um Measúnú Riosca (RAC) de chuid ECHA, an Ghníomhaireacht Idirnáisiúnta um Thaighde ar Ailse (IARC), agus comhlachtaí náisiúnta, agus aird ar leith á tabhairt ar an litríocht fhoilsithe ar a ndearnadh athbhreithniú piaraí maidir leis an tsubstaint sin.
For any new addition to the list of substances, mixtures and processes referred to in Annex I to Directive 2004/37/EC in accordance with point (a)(ii) of Article 2 of that Directive, robust scientific evidence of the carcinogenicity of the relevant substance needs to be demonstrated, based on available valid scientific sources such as ECHA’s Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and national bodies, paying particular attention to peer-reviewed published literature on that substance.
