(4) The Chief Justice after such consultations as he or she thinks proper with the judges concerned, shall determine, in respect of every sitting of the High Court on Circuit, the several judges of the Supreme Court who shall be requested to travel and sit for the purposes of such sittings and the particular judge or judges who shall so travel and sit on each High Court Circuit, and the Chief Justice may alter or vary any such determination.”,

—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 34 of the Act of 1936, if, at any time before a judge begins to travel a High Court Circuit for the purpose of holding therein any half-yearly sittings of the High Court on Circuit, the Chief Justice and the President of the High Court ascertain that there is no business to be transacted at such sittings in any particular appeal town for a county or county borough in that High Court Circuit, the Chief Justice and the President of the High Court may direct in writing that it shall not be obligatory to hold such sittings in that appeal town.

(3) The Chief Justice may, on application made to him in that behalf, direct that, on payment by the applicant to the Society of such amount as may be fixed by the Chief Justice, a practising certificate which bears a date later than the 5th day of February in any practice year shall, either unconditionally or subject to specified conditions, be in force as on and from a specified date which is earlier than the date borne by the certificate and not earlier than the first day of that practice year.

During the period of any vacancy in the office of Chief Justice these Rules shall operate as if, wherever the words "Chief Justice" are used, the words "President of the High Court" were used; and during the period of any vacancy in the office of President of the High Court, as if, wherever the words "President of the High Court" are used, the words "Chief Justice" were used.

(3) The Company shall pay compensation to each road authority, in respect of the cesser effected by this section of the wayleaves which were immediately before the establishment date payable by the dissolved transport company to that road authority, and the amount of the compensation shall, in default of agreement, be determined by an arbitrator appointed by the Chief Justice at the request of the Minister.
