(q) PROVIDE that the Terminating Company shall file with the Registrar of Companies its first balance sheet as of 31st December, 1939.

If any person wilfully makes, orders, or allows to be made, any entry, erasure in, or omission from a balance sheet of a registered society or branch, or a return or document required to be sent, produced, or delivered for the purposes of this Act, with intent to falsify the same, or to evade any of the provisions of this Act, he shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £500.

An account in the form of a balance sheet as at the thirty-first day of December, showing assets, liabilities and the accumulated reserve of the Post Office Savings Bank Fund, with notes thereto which shall include (where appropriate) particulars of interest accrued in respect of the securities standing to the credit of that Fund and of the interest paid and credited to depositors in pursuance of any enactment relating to the Post Office Savings Bank, and a note further thereto of the expenses incurred in the execution of those enactments.”.
