- Sainmhíniú recycling loop of the waste gas from the continuous regeneration unit of the catalyst Tagairt European Commission. Joint Research Centre. Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS). European Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (lPPC) Bureau. Correspondence dated 9.4.2015
- Nóta "The process could be simplified in the following steps (in reality there are more than one reactor):Step 1: fresh catalyst is introduced at the top of the reactor (the catalyst allows to upgrade the octane of heavy naphtha which is in the reactor)Step 2: the catalyst flows down by gravity to the bottom of the reactor, and is progressively ""spent"" during the reactionStep 3: the spent catalyst is removed from the bottom of the reactor and introduced in an external regenerator (Continuous Catalyst Regeneration reforming unit).Step 4: The catalyst is ""regenerated"" (the carbon is burned from the catalyst)Step 5: The regenerated catalyst is introduced at the top of the reactor, and the cycle starts again"
