Unter diese Kategorie von Verbrechen fällt auch Mord (Tötung im Name der „Ehre“, sogenannter Ehrenmord); sie werden oft vom Ehegatten, einem weiblichen oder männlichen Verwandten oder einem Mitglieder der Gemeinschaft des Opfers begangen. Verbrechen im Namen der „Ehre“ werden von der jeweiligen Gemeinschaft oft nicht als Straftaten gegen Frauen betrachtet, sondern als Mittel zur Wahrung und/oder Wiederherstellung der Integrität ihrer kulturellen, traditionellen, herkömmlichen oder religiösen Normen nach einem vermeintlichen Verstoß gebilligt.

Crimes in the name of so-called honour may also be committed against girls and women because they have been victims of sexual violence, such as rape.     Comment The victim is usually (but not always) a woman. The perpetrators usually come from the family of the victim, or the wider community to which she belongs. Ces derniers se limitent normalement au crime commis par un partenaire (le mari ou la femme) en relation avec l'autre en tant que réponse spontanée (émotionnelle ou passionnée) [...].
