    Comment Images are engraved at different angles through an array of cylindrical lenses embossed into the surface of the card. The image that can be seen changes depending on the angle of view.There are several variable laser imaging technologies: CLI® and MLI® are used for paper-based substrates, where MLI engraves in a longitudinal axis of the card and CLI engraves in a lateral axis, or short axis. TLI is used for synthetic substrates.
