    Nóta Il s'agit des chaluts de fond, des dragues, des filets maillants de fond, des palangres de fond, des casiers et des pièges.La pêche de fond a des effets directs sur les espèces benthiques et leurs habitats. Le passage d’un engin est susceptible de les arracher — pour celles qui sont fixées sur le fond —, de les briser, de les écraser, de les enfouir ou de les remonter à la surface dans les filets. Le déplacement des sédiments (remaniement) modifie également leur habitat, voire la morphologie des fonds si les surfaces altérées sont grandes et fréquemment balayées. Les particules de sédiment remises en suspension peuvent gêner la respiration et l’alimentation de certaines espèces.
