Comment The charter provides that appropriate compensation should be paid in cases of nationalization and that any controversies should be settled under the domestic laws of the nationalizing states unless all states concerned agree to other peaceful means. It also sets forth the right of states to associate in organizations of primary producers in order to develop their national economies.

Comment Deutschland hat bislang [02.03.2010] nur die Europäische Sozialcharta in ihrer ursprünglichen Fassung vom 18. Oktober 1961 ratifiziert. Die revidierte Fassung der Sozialcharta vom 3. Mai 1996 ist von Deutschland zwar unterzeichnet, aber noch nicht ratifiziert worden. / L'Allemagne n'a jusqu'à présent [02.03.2010] ratifié la Charte sociale européenne que dans sa version initiale du 16 octobre 1961. La version revisée de la Charte sociale du 3 mai 1996 a été signée par l'Allemagne, mais pas encore ratifiée par elle.
