- Sainmhíniú Potentiel de réchauffement planétaire (PRP) : il s'agit du potentiel de réchauffement climatique d'un gaz à effet de serre fluoré par rapport à celui du dioxyde de carbone. Il est calculé en fonction du réchauffement sur cent ans d'un kilogramme d'un gaz donné par rapport à un kilogramme de CO2. Les valeurs pertinentes des PRP sont celles publiées dans le troisième rapport d'évaluation adopté par le groupe d'experts intergouvernemental sur l'évolution du climat ("valeurs des PRP publiées en 2001 par le GIEC").
