- Nóta "Protocol 4 to the ECHR, Article 4: 'Collective expulsion of aliens is prohibited.' EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, Article 19(1): 'Collective expulsions are prohibited.' Prohibition of such collective expulsions is based on the principle that decisions on expulsion must be made on an individual basis, in line with Article 13 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Article 32 of the Geneva Convention, Article 4 of the 4th Protocol to the ECHR and Article 1 of the 7th protocol to the ECHR, which also guarantee the right of the person to have his or her case heard in a procedure in accordance with the law.
