- Nóta The Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Union formerly contained a detailed list of types of post corresponding to each function group. ‘Junior translator’ was one of several types of post corresponding to function groups AD6 and AD5. The list was subsequently simplified: a junior translator was classified as a ‘linguistic administrator’ (during a transition period) and finally as an ‘administrator’, corresponding to function groups AD 5 to AD 12.
