- Nóta In Greece there is a public prosecutor's office at each of the 3 levels of the court system: at the court of first instance, at the court of appeal and at the Areios Paghos (Supreme Court). The latter two cannot prosecute; they only have the power to mandate the public prosecutor's office at the court of first instance to do so.
