- Nóta It was signed by the Commission, on behalf of the EU, and all six Western Balkans partners at the EU-Western Balkans Justice and Home Affairs Ministerial Meeting in Tirana on 5 October 2018. Its five objectives include setting up a robust framework for countering terrorism, ensuring effective prevention and countering of violent extremism, ensuring effective information exchange and operational cooperation, building capacity to combat money laundering and terrorism financing, and strengthening the protection of citizens and infrastructure.
