Ciallaíonn "ola" peitriliam in aon fhoirm, ar a n-áirítear amh-ola, ola breosla agus táirgí scagtha (seachas substaint atá liostaithe i gCaibidil VI den Chód sin le haghaidh longa a mbíonn Ceimicí Contúirteacha á n-iompar acu).
“Oil” means petroleum in any form, including crude oil, fuel oil and refined products (other than a substance listed in Chapter VI of the said Code for ships carrying Dangerous Chemicals).
