    Sainmhíniú a divided attention test with specific instructions where the subject has to stand on alternate feet for a timed period of 30 seconds. During this period, the subject also has to count aloud. Certain drugs (e.g. CNS stimulants) may cause the subject to count rapidly and/or lose count. The subject stands with hands by their side, with the standing leg straight and toes pointing forward. The other leg is raised 6-8 inches above the ground, then held in position; the subject is required to look at their raised foot and count 30 seconds in 1000's.
