    Nóta Following New Zealand's refusal in 1984 to allow access to its ports by nuclear-weapons-capable and nuclear-powered ships of the US Navy, annual bilateral meetings between the US Secretary of State and the Australian Foreign Minister replaced annual meetings of the ANZUS Council of Foreign Ministers. The Council was created under article VII of Security Treaty between Australia, New Zealand and the United States. 2.     Nóta En vertu de l'article VII du traité de l'ANZUS, le Conseil des ministres des Affaires étrangères doit être organisé «de façon à pouvoir se réunir à tout moment». Le Conseil de l'ANZUS est la seule structure de l'ANZUS, qui n'a pas de siège désigné ni de personnel permanent, à la différence de l'OTAN.
