- Nóta The Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Union formerly contained a detailed list of types of post corresponding to each function group. ‘Senior translator’ was one of several types of post corresponding to function groups AD10 and AD9. The list was subsequently simplified: a senior translator was classified as a ‘linguistic administrator’ (during a transition period) and finally as an ‘administrator’, corresponding to function groups AD 5 to AD 12.
