- Comment Mit dem Vertrag von Lissabon wurde das Verfahren zur Ernennung des Präsidenten der Europäischen Kommission geändert: Der Europäische Rat schlägt dem Europäischen Parlament mit qualifizierter Mehrheit einen Kandidaten vor, wobei er das Ergebnis der Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament berücksichtigt. - Comment The Lisbon Treaty changed the rules for the appointment of the President of the European Commission. The European Council, taking into account the elections to the European Parliament and acting by a qualified majority, proposes a candidate who is then elected by the European Parliament by a majority of its component members.
