- Nóta Under the Peer to Peer II scheme, which ended in 2012, the Council of Europe and the EU jointly funded a project to promote the establishment of a European network of prison monitoring bodies, including national preventive mechanisms (NPMs) [ IATE:2232448 ], with the aim of fostering peer exchange and critical reflection. This network is to be reactivated in 2016.
