It will be put in place through a European Commission research group in charge of improving and centralising data collection and analysis specifically for rural areas.

- Nóta L'observatoire rural de l'Union européenne sera chargé des tâches suivantes:- centraliser et analyser les données, en assurant le lien entre les sources de données grâce à un portail de données rurales, des données ventilées par sexe seront utilisées lorsqu’elles sont disponibles; - informer sur les initiatives pertinentes menées à l’échelle de l’UE en faveur des zones rurales; - analyser les résultats du plan d’action rural de l’UE.
