    Comment Dans certains ordres juridiques, l'autorisation à mariage doit être systématiquement délivrée avant tout mariage. En France, il s'agit d'une autorisation spécifique délivrée dans certains cas, de plus en plus restreints. .Il y a une disparition progressive de l’autorisation à mariage pour les militaires (art. 14 loi du 13 juillet 1972 affirme le principe de la liberté de leur mariage, sauf dans certains cas très particuliers) ainsi que pour les agents diplomatiques et consulaires (art. 68 du décret n° 85-375 du 27 mars 1985 prévoit désormais que lesdits agents doivent uniquement informer le ministre de leur intention de se marier au plus tard un mois avant la date prévue pour les publications légales et lui communiquer les renseignements relatifs à l’état civil et à la nationalité du futur conjoint).
