    Nóta Somit trägt der Anhörungsbeauftragte zur Objektivität der Anhörung selbst, zur Beachtung von Fairnessgarantien, zur Wahrung des Rechts der Parteien auf rechtliches Gehör und zur Objektivität der späteren Entscheidung bei. Zu den Aufgaben des Anhörungsbeauftragten zählt es auch, bei Streitigkeiten zwischen den Kommissionsdienststellen und den betroffenen Parteien über Fragen der Vertraulichkeit von Unterlagen und über eine Einsichtnahme in die Akten zu vermitteln, die von einer oder mehreren Parteien zur Vorbereitung der Verteidigung verlangt wird. Il fait rapport au membre de la Commission chargé de la concurrence; son rapport final sur une affaire de concurrence est joint à la décision et publié au Journal officiel.
