    Comment "Die EU-Strategie für nachhaltige und kreislauffähige Textilien setzt bei der Herstellung und dem Verbrauch von Textilien an und betont gleichzeitig die Bedeutung des Textilsektors. Sie dient der Umsetzung des Europäischen Grünen Deals des neuen Aktionsplans für die Kreislaufwirtschaft und der Industriestrategie. Sie soll den Sektor umweltverträglicher und wettbewerbsfähiger machen, damit er besser gegen weltweite Erschütterungen gewappnet ist. Bis 2030 will die Kommission Folgendes erreichen:Alle Textilerzeugnisse auf dem EU-Markt sind langlebig, lassen sich reparieren und recyceln, bestehen größtenteils aus Recyclingfasern, sind frei von gefährlichen Stoffen und werden sozial- und umweltverträglich hergestellt;Wegwerfmode ist aus der Mode – Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher tragen hochwertige und langlebige Textilien zu erschwinglichen Preisen; es gibt überall rentable Wiederverwendungs- und Reparaturdienste; der Textilsektor ist wettbewerbsfähig, resilient und innovativ; die Hersteller übernehmen über die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette Verantwortung für ihre Produkte und schaffen ausreichende Kapazitäten für Recycling; überschüssige Kleidung wird so selten wie möglich verbrannt oder weggeworfen."

    Definition Accord multilatéral signé en 1973 sous l'égide du GATT, entré en vigueur en janvier 1974 et prorogé à plusieurs reprises. Il étend les arrangements relatifs au commerce du coton mis en place à partir de 1962 et sert de support à des accords bilatéraux de protection instaurés par les pays importateurs, fixant notamment les quantités maximales (quotas) pouvant être exportées par le pays exportateur. Une quarantaine d'accords ont été signés dans ce cadre par les États-Unis, tout comme par les pays européens. Un tiers du commerce international en la matière est soumis à l'AMF. L'Accord sur les textiles et les vêtements (ATV), inscrit dans l'Acte final de Marrakech concluant le cycle de l'Uruguay en 1995 et contrôlé par l'Organe de supervision des textiles (OSpT), prévoit l'élimination totale des quotas d'ici 2004.
