- Nóta NB: Dans un contexte francophone (hors UE), il ne faut pas confondre " pêcherie" et " métier". La pêcherie est (pour les francophones) une zone correspondant à un stock, alors que pour les anglophones et dans le contexte de l'UE, "fishery" est une combinaison entre un engin, une ressource (espèces) et une zone, ce que les francophones appellent "métier". Cela étant dit, les choses ne sont pas toujours aussi claires et "pêcherie(s)" sera également souvent utilisé dans un sens plus général, voire comme synonyme de pêche (=activité de pêche).
