Zwei oder mehr eigenständige Wirtschaftseinheiten, die durch eine wirtschaftliche Verbindung auf einem bestimmten Markt zusammenhängen, können ebenfalls gemeinsam eine beherrschende Stellung innehaben. Diese Situation wird als kollektive (gemeinsame oder oligopolistische) beherrschende Stellung bezeichnet.
